HISTORY

In 1946, they went to Zonguldak and started working at Balkaya Pastry Shop. Shortly after, they took over the operation of the pastry shop. They learned the intricacies of pastry-making from the trained masters of the Moscow Pastry Shop in Istanbul. Following their ventures in Zonguldak, they chose Izmir for their next steps in 1954. The Pelit family first opened Ülkü Pastry Shop on Kıbrıs Şehitleri Street in Izmir, and in 1957, they opened Sevinç Pastry Shop.
